What is the Intrax Global Leaders Internship Program? Intrax Global Leaders is a premier program for exceptional international talent, looking to broaden his/her skill set, launch a global career and gain work valuable experience in the U.S.
Where do you offer internships? We work with companies across the United States. Currently we are only offering internships in the San Francisco Bay Area.
How long is the program? 12 months.
How do I apply? Apply online. Our Program Advisors are always available to answer questions and help you find the company that best suits your needs.
What does the application consist of? You will need to submit a completed application form, college transcript indicating your GPA, resume, letter of recommendation and a short personal statement.
What are the Intrax Global Leaders Internship Program requirements?
What are my chances of being accepted in the program? We carefully screen all applicants, to ensure that participants in our program are of the highest caliber. However, we are interested in learning your unique story, motivations and goals. There is no standard mold by which we judge our applicants, so we encourage everyone to apply.
When should I apply? Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
How do I obtain a visa for the internship program?
Do I need to be fluent in English? Yes, we require that participants be fluent in English. However, we do offer an optional one-month English instruction course for participants looking to fine tune their English skills prior to starting the internship.
Can I choose where I am placed? We match participants and companies through a comprehensive pre-screening and consultation process. While applicants may indicate preferred employers, Intrax will work with host companies to determine the best candidate for their company and host companies make the final placement decision.
What kind of assistance will I receive during the program? Our Program Advisors will be available to personally assist you with any questions or concerns, related to insurance and assimilating into a new company and culture. Our staff will conduct periodic check-ins to monitor progress and address communication issues to ensure that you gain the most out of your experience.
Can I receive academic credit? Undergraduate credit will not be available. However, a certificate will be provided as part of the academic training portion of the program for participants interested in pursuing a masters degree in the future.
Can I get a part-time job to supplement my income in the US? No, according to J-1 visa regulations, participants may not get a part time job during their internship.
Do people ever get hired by their sponsor company? You must return to your home country upon completion of the program. Upon your return, your sponsor company may re-hire you to work in the U.S. if the company provides the appropriate visa and pays for legal help and assistance. Intrax does not assist with processes that take place after the program is completed.
Can I continue to live in the accommodation when my internship finishes? No. You must fully vacate the apartment as soon as your internship ends to make room for incoming interns and to allow time for cleaning, decoration and moving.
Does my medical insurance cover me for my 13th/travel month? No, but you can extend your MIP policy by paying an additional fee.
What should I take with me? You will receive additional information on what to bring when you are placed in your internship.
